Swiss flies with solar energy fuel

Thanks to Swiss start-up Synhelion: Swiss flies with fuel from solar energy for the first time

Swiss has deployed a solar fuel in civil aviation. This comes from an ETH spin-off that recently inaugurated its first industrial plant.

The Swiss was the first airline in the world to use a solar fuel of the Swiss cleantech company Synhelion used in flight operations. This is "an important milestone on the way to more sustainable aviation", according to a press release from the airline.
