Synthetic fuels are produced by means of chemical reactions. All biomass fractions serve as raw materials. They can be used with conventional engines and fuel systems. Since synthetic fuels contain neither sulphur nor aromatics and only little nitrogen oxide and soot, pollutant emissions are significantly reduced when they are used.
