Many Swiss data centres want to use HVO and operate their emergency power systems in a CO2-neutral way. Now there is movement in procurement.
In the Swiss data centre industry, there is great interest in CO2-reduced operation of emergency power systems. The use of hydrogenated vegetable oil, or HVO for short, instead of diesel would be predestined for this. Until now, the main obstacle to this has been availability. This could now change.
