
On 26 November 2025, we had the pleasure of hosting this year's industry day in Langenthal. Numerous association members, guests from the diverse industry and interested visitors made their way to Langenthal.
The night before, winter had made its first brief appearance, and so some of us were surprised by fresh snow in the morning. After a warming welcome coffee with croissants, we set off in a relaxed manner on the 7th Biofuels Switzerland Industry Day, accompanied by inspiring speakers who provided exciting insights and food for thought.
Tuesday, 25 November 2025 – Set-up and preparation
On Tuesday, the hall and stage were prepared for the industry day. A big thank you to Scania Switzerland Ltd, Daimler Truck Switzerland Ltd and Schöni Transport Ltd, that you have provided us with your beautifully polished trucks.








Wednesday, 26 November 2025 – 7th Biofuels Industry Day
The first guests arrived punctually at 8:30 a.m. Some arrived relaxed and without incident, while others were caught off guard by the first snowfall of the year, which caused traffic delays. ❄️
But overall, everyone made it safely and on time for the industry day.


































After a coffee and croissant, it's time to get started. 7th Biofuels Industry Day with a welcome and moderation by Marco Fritsche.
Reto Müller, Mayor of Langenthal, warmly welcomes all participants and addresses the audience with a few words about today's industry day.
This will be followed by a presentation by Member of the National Council Stefan Müller-Altermatt on the subject CO2 Act for the 2030s. After a few questions from the audience, Member of the National Council Gabriela Suter the word and explains her view on Mobility of the future – Vision 2030.
Pierre-André Page, National Council and a few days later elected for a year President of the National Council, highlights the political perspective in his lecture „Desire and reality“.
We warmly congratulate him on this honourable and important position and wish him every success and happiness for the coming year.
After his presentation, there was a short break before the other presentations continued.





































As usual, the short coffee break was lively. Networking and a warm „hello“ utilised – an important part of our annual industry day. ☕🤝
The presentation continued with Fabian Bilger from Avenergy Suisse. His topic for today was „Traffic and Change“.

















Ms. Valentina Kumpusch from ASTRA Switzerland Your view on today's topic.
Also at Mrs Kumpusch there were a few questions from the audience. Afterwards, Moderator Marco Fritsche summarised the morning in a few sentences and wished everyone: „Enjoy your meal!“ 🍽️














A few impressions from the lunch break: Not only was food consumed here, but also Greeted people warmly, maintained old contacts and discussed industry-specific topics.. 🥪🤝














































After lunch, the afternoon programme started largely on time. Ms Simone Burgin from Argus London gave her presentation in English. Under the title „Renewable fuels – what is Europe doing?“ highlighted opportunities, challenges and current strategies in the European market.





















The Industry Day 2025 concluded with a presentation entitled „The future of roads“ from Olivier Fantino from Swiss Roads.
This allowed us to gain exciting insights from different perspectives today: from the CO2 Act for the 2030s, about the Development of the fuel industry in the coming decades, right up to the Voices from politics, administration and the market. A day full of input, exchange and new food for thought! 🚛🌱









Marco Fritsche called for grand finale with a small panel discussion, during which Thomas Rücker (auto-switzerland), Ramon Werner (volenergy AG and President of Biofuels Switzerland) as well as Olivier Fantino (strasseschweiz) provided exciting insights and discussions.










Thus, the 7th Industry Day officially over. We would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone Speakers, members, numerous participants as well as the Organisers and contributors, who made this day possible. We hope you enjoyed it!
